Kathmandu. Seven Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from the financial sector have been suspended due to a case related to Deepak Bhatta. The CEOs of two reinsurance companies and micro-insurance companies have been suspended due to the money laundering case filed by the Department of Investigation of Money Laundering in the Special Court on Thursday. The leadership of the Insurance Authority is also involved in this. Those suspended include the CEOs of two reinsurance companies and 5 micro-insurance companies. Surendra Thapa, CEO of Nepal Re-insurance, and Upasana Poudel, CEO of Himalayan Re-insurance, have been suspended after a case was filed against them. Similarly, Ramkumar Yadav, CEO of Liberty Micro Life, and Pratapman Shrestha, CEO of Crest Micro, are also included. They will not be able to return to their positions until the final decision of the case is made.
