Government Actions Cause Distress Among Business Community

Kathmandu. Businessmen are outraged and terrified, stating that the government is continuously harassing and discouraging the private sector. They accuse the government of adopting a terrorist style in the name of good governance and creating an investment environment, thereby demoralizing businessmen.

Businessmen say the government shows a dual character, urging for increased investment and assuring businessmen on one hand, while treating them like criminals on the other. They claim that the investment environment in the country is becoming unfavorable due to searches and harassment in a guerrilla style, without following procedural paths and without concrete evidence.
