Parliamentary Committee Passes Bill Restoring National Investigation Department Under Prime Minister's Office

Kathmandu. The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives has passed the 'Bill to Revive the Previous Provision of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042' with the National Investigation Department remaining under the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' Office.

The meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday rejected the proposal to keep the National Investigation Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and passed the bill by a majority, reviving the previous provision of it remaining under the Prime Minister's Office.
