Kathmandu, 4 December (2022) - The preliminary results of the elections to the Member of the House of Representatives and Province Assembly have been made public. This parliamentary election is for the second term of the Parliament after the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal drafted by the people's representatives following a long struggle and sacrifices of the Nepali people.

The elections to the HoR and PA were held simultaneously across the country on November 20. It is now clear that 12 political parties would be represented in the federal parliament under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) election system and seven under the proportional representation electoral system.
