Supreme Court Postpones Hearing on 17 Petitions Against Parliament Dissolution

Kathmandu. After the Jenji movement, 17 petitions filed in the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the formation of the government have been kept on the postponed list today without being scheduled for hearing. Among the 17 petitions filed against the dissolution of parliament are petitions filed by MPs from the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.
In this petition, on Poush 2, 2082, the Constitutional Bench comprising Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, senior most Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla, and Justices Hari Prasad Fuyaal, Manoj Kumar Sharma, and Nahakul Subedi had issued a show-cause order in the name of the opposition.
