Former Minister Rajkumar Gupta Granted Bail in Pokhara Land Corruption Case

Kathmandu. Former minister Rajkumar Gupta, who is in detention in the Lichibari corruption case in Pokhara, has been asked for a bail of 5 million by the Supreme Court. The joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Sharanga Subedi and Sunil Kumar Pokharel has ordered Gupta to undergo pre-trial detention by providing 5 million in cash bail or equivalent bank guarantee or collateral.

The court informed the petitioner's side about the bail amount on Wednesday after the order was issued on Tuesday. Former Minister of General Administration Gupta was ordered to be taken into custody by the Special Court on Poush 17, 2082. According to that order, he was in detention at the Dillibazar Prison Office.
