Elderly Woman Rescued After 11 Days from Floodwaters in Nuwakot

Kathmandu. On the 11th day of the severe flood in the Bhote Koshi river of Rasuwa, 64-year-old Chandika Shrestha was rescued today from the house of Anand Shrestha in Betrawati Bazaar, Nuwakot, and brought to the Nepali Army hospital in Chhauni for treatment.

Shrestha, who was rescued alive, has been taken to the Nepali Army hospital in Chhauni for treatment. Shrestha, of Bidur Municipality Ward Number 10 in Nuwakot, was rescued by a team deployed under the command of Police Inspector Suman Bik of the Armed Police Force, Nepal.
