Nepal Electricity Authority Initiates DNA Testing for 47 Missing Employees After Bhote Koshi Flood

Kathmandu. 47 employees working in various projects of Nepal Electricity Authority are still missing due to the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi river on Bhadra 10. Although the authority has intensified the search and rescue operation for the missing employees, since the condition of many is still unknown, the process of 'DNA' testing has been started for identification.
According to the authority, the flood caused great damage to structures including Upper Trishuli 3A, Trishuli 3B Hub, and Chilime-Trishuli. During the search and rescue, two employees from Upper Trishuli 3A have been rescued safely so far, while the body of one has been recovered. The remaining 47 employees have not been found yet.
