Nepal Faces Devastating Floods and Landslides, Calls for Unity and Reconstruction

Mother, the devastating flood-landslide that suddenly came from the bursting of glacial lakes and avalanches to the north has caused a deep wound on your chest, and our chests have also been shattered. The loss of your beloved children prematurely, the destruction of physical infrastructure for development, the houses and courtyards and fields built with years of hard work being washed away in an instant by the flood have left the entire country stunned and heartbroken.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to all the brothers and sisters who lost their lives in this unimaginable disaster. I express my heartfelt sympathy to all the families who are drowning in the deep darkness of grief after losing their loved ones. I also wish for the speedy recovery of all the children who were injured in the flood and landslide.
