Deputy Secretaries Appointed Chief District Officers in Districts with Joint Secretary Vacancies

Kathmandu. Last Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs transferred 42 deputy secretaries. In the transfer, deputy secretaries were sent as Chief District Officers in Jumla and Dadeldhura, where the post of joint secretary is sanctioned. By the decision of Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Deputy Secretary Tej Prakash Prasai was sent as Chief District Officer in Jumla and Deputy Secretary Mina Aryal in Dadeldhura.

Whereas, two joint secretaries are sitting without responsibility in the ministry's additional group (Jadega). According to the Ministry's Staff Administration Branch, joint secretaries Bhupendra Thapa and Pushparaj Shahi are in reserve. However, the home ministry's own employees have become dissatisfied after deputy secretaries were given responsibilities in districts with sanctioned posts for joint secretaries.
