Nuwakot Municipality Announces Decisions for Flood-Induced Problems

Nuwakot. Bidur Municipality has made various decisions to solve the problems created by the sudden flood in the Trishuli River coming from Bhote Koshi. The 134th meeting of the Municipal Executive held on Bhadra 21 has made decisions regarding relief, rehabilitation of flood victims, and school operations.

As per the decision, the municipality will immediately provide an amount of Rs 10,000 per family to the city dwellers who do not have a livable house within Bidur Municipality to rent a house. In addition, affected families will be provided with necessary materials such as food, clothing, kitchen sets, and hygiene sets. It has been warned that anyone found charging more than the prevailing rent for renting rooms or houses will be prosecuted according to the prevailing law.
