5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Longchang City, Sichuan Province

Beijing. A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Longchang city in Sichuan province in southwestern China on Friday. According to the China Earthquake Network Center (CENC), the earthquake occurred at 1:13 PM Beijing time on Friday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was measured at 29.23 degrees North latitude and 105.22 degrees East longitude. According to CENC, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers from the surface.
