Nepal Army to continue search in hydropower tunnels in Rasuwa, Nuwakot until ‘breakthrough’

Kathmandu, Sept 7: The Nepali Army has said search and rescue operations in tunnels of hydropower projects damaged by the devastating floods will continue until a “breakthrough” is achieved, unless the government directs otherwise.

The Army has intensified its search efforts amid estimates that around 121 people may be trapped inside tunnels of flood-affected hydropower projects.
