Vedic Rituals Performed at Pashupatinath for Flood Victims

Kathmandu. Vedic Brahmins have recited various scriptures and chanted mantras at the bank of the Bagmati within the Pashupatinath Temple premises, wishing peace for the souls of all known/unknown who died in the flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa.
Campaigner Sushant Acharya informed Rasas that rituals including recitation of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, Shri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra, Dvadasakshari and Panchakshari mantra chanting, and Harinam Sankirtan were collectively performed with the objective of the salvation of those who died in the flood, speedy recovery of the affected population, and for the bereaved families to gain patience/courage.
