Chaudhary released from jail after getting pardoned over Tikapur incident

KATHMANDU, May 29: Resham Lal Chaudhary, the convict in the Tikapur incident that ended in the deaths of eight police personnel and a minor, has been released from jail with President Ramchandra Paudel granting him a pardon on the occasion of the Republic Day today.

Following his release from the local Dillibazar-based Sadarkhor (prison), he, the leader of Nagarik Unmukti Party, reached Maitighar Mandala to meet party cadres before moving to Kailali.
