Hamro Radio - Listen, Enjoy & Stay Updated!

Radio - a medium to get connected with the world. Radio was a heart-winning thing until the late ’90s. With the advancement of technology, people tend to migrate and start looking for a better way to communicate. Despite the changes in the dynamics of how this media operates, we still love radio and the popularity of radio in Nepal hasn't really changed. Morning News, musical programs - song dedication, news updates from around the world just before going to bed are still alive.

Hamro Patro - an app that helps to connect all the Nepalese through the globe came up with the thought of launching a radio feature considering its user's feedback. Hamro Patro launched “Hamro Radio” in 2013. From its launch, only Hamro Radio has been one of the most loved features in Hamro Patro.

Currently, around four hundred and eighty (480) Radios are broadcasting daily Hamro Radio and the user engagement is very satisfying. Hamro Radio feature is available in both android and iOS. We can easily choose which station you want to tune in to. The UI is very user-friendly and all the stations that are there in Nepal can be tuned in easily through the app’s platform. The most interesting thing about hamro radio is that we can add our favorite radio stations. Personalization of stations is only available on android devices for now and will soon be available on iOS. It is just so simple and easy to use and the clarity of the station is really smooth.

What are you waiting for now? Tune in to your favorite radio station and enjoy!

Hamro Patro - Connecting Nepali Communities
Hamro Patro is one of the first Nepali app to include Nepali Patro, launched in 2010. We started with a Nepali Calendar mobile app to help Nepalese living abroad stay in touch with Nepalese festivals and important dates in Nepali calendar year. Later on, to cater to the people who couldn’t type in Nepali using fonts like Preeti, Ganesh and even Nepali Unicode, we built nepali mobile keyboard called Hamro Nepali keyboard.
