SAIM Dashain Fest 2024 Lights Up Kathmandu with Culture, Music, and Celebration

The much-awaited SAIM Dashain Fest 2024 was a grand success, showcasing Nepal’s rich cultural heritage in an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and community spirit. Organized by the SAIM Events Club, the festival was held in collaboration with Singapore Beverages Nepal and NABIL Bank, bringing together a blend of tradition, entertainment, and modern fun.

Despite the late start at 11 AM, the event quickly gained momentum as attendees filled the SAIM College grounds in Old Baneshwor. A perfect mix of vibrant performances, star appearances, and engaging activities made the day an unforgettable celebration for everyone involved.

A Day Filled with Culture and Celebration

This year’s festival focused on cultural inclusivity, reflecting the diverse ways Dashain is celebrated across Nepal. From the highlands to the plains, attendees were treated to performances showcasing the country’s cultural spectrum. Traditional folk dances, regional music, and storytelling brought the essence of Dashain to life, creating a bridge between Nepal's roots and today’s youth.

Although the kite competition and Dashain swing (ping) had to be canceled due to bad weather conditions, the crowd remained engaged with a variety of interactive booths, food and game stalls,  and hands-on activities that celebrated Nepali customs.

Star Performances and Celebrity Highlights

The entertainment lineup kept the energy high throughout the day. Rockheads Nepal rocked the stage with electrifying performances, captivating the audience with their lively music. Adding humor to the mix, Armendra Yadav kept the crowd entertained with his witty comedy, leaving everyone in splits. Additionally, bands like The Prashna Chinha, The Urja, The Adustio, and The Niyama set the stage on fire at the SAIM Dashain Fest 2024.

Special appearances by celebrities like Niti Shah, Jitu Nepal, and Buddhi Tamang further added to the excitement, as they mingled with fans and participated in interactive segments. Whether attendees came for the music, comedy, or the chance to meet their favorite stars, the festival offered something for everyone.

Lucky Draw and Prizes Add to the Excitement

A highlight of the event was the lucky draw, where lucky attendees had the chance to win amazing prizes. Participants eagerly awaited the results, making the draw one of the most anticipated parts of the festival.

Food Stalls and Local Cuisine Delight Attendees

No Dashain celebration is complete without food, and this year’s festival delivered a true treat for the taste buds. The food stalls featured authentic Nepali cuisine, allowing visitors to indulge in traditional dishes that are a key part of Dashain celebrations.

A Successful Event Celebrating Tradition and Community

The SAIM Dashain Fest 2024 exceeded expectations, successfully blending cultural heritage with modern elements to appeal to the younger generation. The event fostered a sense of community and pride in Nepali traditions, making it a truly special experience for all who attended.

The organizers extended their gratitude to all the attendees, artists, and sponsors, for their support in making the festival a success.

The SAIM Dashain Fest 2024 was not just a celebration—it was a reminder of the importance of tradition, inclusivity, and community spirit. With the resounding success of this year’s event, SAIM Events Club is already looking forward to making the next edition even more spectacular.
