September 16, 1987, also known as World Ozone Day, commemorates the day Montreal Declaration on Reducing the Production of Harmful Ozone by 24 nations. Such harmful elements include chlorofluorocarbons and 94 other chemicals. This World Ozone Day has been celebrated since 1995.

विश्व ओजोन दिवस पनि भनिने सेप्टेम्बर १६ मा सन् १९८७ मा २४ वटा राष्ट्रले ओजोन विनाशक हानिकारक तत्त्वहरू को उत्पादनमा कम गर्ने मोन्टेरल हस्ताक्षरको दिन याद दिलाउँदछ । यस्ता हानिकारक तत्त्वहरूमा क्लोरोफ्लोरो कार्बन लगायत अन्य विभिन्न ९४ वटा रसायनहरू पर्दछन् । यस विश्व ओजोन दिवस सन् १९९५ देखि मनाँईदै आएको हो ।

Triodashi is called Pradosh. Like Ekadashi, Pradosh is important every month, Vishnu is remembered in Ekadashi and Shiva is remembered in Pradosh. Pradosh begins 45 minutes before sunset and ends 45 minutes after sunset.

त्रयोदशीलाई प्रदोष भनिन्छ । एकादशीमा विष्णुलाई स्मरण गरिन्छ भने प्रदोषमा शिवको स्मरण गरिन्छ । प्रदोष काल सूर्यास्त हुनुभन्दा ४५ मिनेट अगाडि सुरु हुन्छ र सूर्यास्तको ४५ मिनेटपछि समाप्त हुन्छ। प्रदोष कथा चन्द्रमाको क्षय हुने रोग अर्थात् चन्द्रमाको प्रभाव कम हुँदै जाने अवस्थामा भगवान् शिवले त्रयोदशीका दिन चन्द्रमाको रोग निवारण गरिदिनुभएको शास्त्रमा उल्लेख छ । यस कारणले हरेक महिनाको त्रयोदशीमा भगवान् शिवको स्मरण गर्दै प्रदोष व्रत लिइन्छ।

May the devotees feel grateful by listening to the story of Brahma Gyan(Vitak Katha) in the month of Shravan From Shravan Krishna Panchami to Sri Krishna Janmashtami, there is a tradition of reciting and interpreting the story of Brahma Gnana Vitak every day at a certain time in Radha Krishna temples. Although this tradition and story seems new to many people, the said tradition is more than three hundred years old and continues every year.

There is a classical belief that there is no other way to destroy sins than this Ekadashi brat. It is believed that fasting on Haripariwartini Ekadashi will bring the results equivalent of performing supreme Vajpayee Yajna. Haripariwartini Ekadashi is also called Jayanti Ekadashi and Waaman Ekadashi.

Today, Shukla Ashtami of Bhadrapad, i.e. for the next 16 days, Mahalakshmi's Vrata series is being celebrated. Welcome to this year's 16-day holy series of Mahalakshmi Vrat. In these 16 days, Goddess Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and auspiciousness, is worshiped. Goddess Mahalakshmi appeared during the Samundra Manthan process from Ksheer Ocean (Ksheer Sagar), she is married to Lord Vishnu or Sri Hari. यि १६ दिनमा धन अनि ऐश्वर्यकी देवी महालक्ष्मीको अर्चना गरिन्छ, समुन्द्र मन्थनका क्रममा क्षीर सागरमा उत्पन्न यि लक्ष्मी देवीको शुभबिवाह भगवान बिष्णुसंग भएको हो । कमलको फूलमा विराजमान देवपी लक्ष्मीको हत्केलावाट हरेकवखत धातुका सिक्काहरु खस्दछन्, यि बिम्बलाई केलाएर हेर्ने हो भनें धनकी देवी कोमल मन अनि सहज उपस्थितीकी प्रतिमा हुन् । धनको पछि लागेको सकल संसारले लक्ष्मीमाताको सरलता र कोमतावाट धेरै कुरा सिक्नुपर्ने आवश्यक्ता छ । यी १६ दिनमा निष्ठापूर्वक लक्ष्मीमाताको उपासना गर्ने उपासकले धन र समृद्धि प्राप्त गर्दछ, धन र समृद्धिको दिर्घकालिनता मानव सेवा र सत्कर्ममा निर्भर हुन्छ, लक्ष्मीमाता पनि मानवसेवा अनि मानविय कार्यमा प्रसन्न हुनुहुन्छ ।

It is customary to fast on Sasthi Tithi from the Sukla Paksha of the month of Bhadra and commemorate this day in the name of the Sun God. This date is called Surya Shashthi. The Sun is the most powerful, bright, and vast thing that human beings can see from the earth and humans have ever seen from their planet.

हिन्दु सनातन दर्शनमा हरेक साना ठुला चाडपर्वलाई पनि निकै महत्त्व अनि धुमधामका साथ मनाइन्छ, दसैँ तिहार, रक्षा बन्धन, नागपन्चमी लगायत थुप्रै चाडहरूको सूचीमा आउने एउटा चाड हो, सुर्यषष्ठी ।सुर्यषष्ठीलाई छठ या षष्ठीको दिन पर्ने भएकाले छठी पनि भनिन्छ, यस पर्व वर्षमा १२ पटक पर्न सक्छन्, भाद्र शुक्ल षष्ठीमा पर्ने सुर्यषष्ठीको आफ्नै महत्त्व छ ।

Today (Bhadra Shukla Panchami) is Rishi Panchami, a special day for women to worship the seven sages (Saptarishis). The history of Rishi Panchami is thousands of years old and just as old is the history of the importance given to women's sexual and reproductive health and rights by Vedic Sanatan rituals. It is customary for women to compare the days of menstruation according to the four goddesses: Chandalani on the first day, Brahmadhatini on the second day, Dhobini on the third day and purification by bathing on the fourth day.

ऋषि पञ्चमीको इतिहास हजारौँ वर्ष पुरानो छ र त्यतिकै पुरानो छ वैदिक सनातन संस्कारले नारीहरूको यौन तथा प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य र अधिकारलाई दिएको महत्त्वको इतिहास । नारीलाई रजस्वलाको दिनहरूलाई चार वटा देवीहरू अनुरूप तुलना गर्ने चलन छ: प्रथम दिन चण्डालिनी, दोस्रो दिन ब्रह्मधातिनी, तेस्रो दिन धोबिनी र चौथो दिन स्नान गरी शुद्ध हुने चलन छ ।

“I bow to Lord Vishnu who preserves and protects the universe, who is pacific, who lies on the divine serpent, from whose navel arises the Lotus with the power of creation, who is the Supreme Being, who holds the entire universe, who is all-pervading as the sky, who is dark like clouds and has a magnificent form. Lakshmi’s lord, one with lotus eye, who is perceived through meditation by the Yogis, I salute you, Lord Vishnu, who removes the fear of worldly existence and who is the Lord of all worlds”.

On the day of Bhadra Shukla Tritiya, Hindu women celebrate Teej with pomp and fanfare by worshiping Lord Shiva, fasting, and dancing. Ganesh Chaturthi and Rishi Panchami are also considered part of Tija. For the protection of husband and family, the women who are fasting today feel as if God himself descends on the earth for unwavering good fortune and eternal fullness.

वास्तवमा हरितालिका तीजले माता पार्वतीले भगवान् शिव पाउँ भनी गरेको १०८ वर्षको तपस्याको याद दिलाउने गर्छ । आधुनिक कालमा बर बधूले त्यस्तो तपस्या गर्नुपर्ने अवस्था त छैन, तथापि सामाजिक बन्धन, आर्थिक असमानता र भौतिकवादी सोचले धेरै नै प्रेमकथाहरू तुहिएर जाने हामी सबैलाई थाहा छ । माता पार्वतीको असीम कृपाले प्रेम अनि प्रेमीहरूको भावनाले यस धर्तीमा सदैव न्याय पाओस् ।

शाब्दिक रूपमा दरो या बलियो भन्ने बुझिने दर शब्द हाम्रो अधिकांश चाडपर्वको पूर्व सन्ध्यामा आउने शब्द हो । भोलीपल्टको दिन व्रत या पुजा अर्चना गरेर मात्र खान पाउने प्रावधान भएको अवस्थामा राती अडिलो खाना खाएर सुत्ने, सकेसम्म ढिलो खाना खाएर सुत्ने चलन थियो । यही चलन अहिले आएर दर भएको हो ।

Mother is remembered on the Matatirthey aaunshi, Guru is remembered on Guru Purnima and today is the day of honoring, remembering, and special dedication of father. Today is Kushe aaunshi or buwa ko mukh herne din.

वैदिक सनातन हिन्दु संस्कारमा कुश एउटा अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण सांस्कृतिक र धार्मिक महत्त्वको पवित्र वनस्पति हो, जसको वैज्ञानिक महत्त्व पनि प्रमाणित भइसकेको छ । वैज्ञानिक भाषामा Eragrostis cynosuroides भनिने कुश एउटा धार्मिक आस्था बोकेको धारिलो घाँस हो । नेपालको तराईदेखि पहाडसम्म सहजै पाइने वनस्पति कुशको जराबाट विभिन्न प्रकारका औषधी पनि बनाइन्छ । परापूर्व कालमा पाठशालामा अध्ययनरत शिष्य शिष्याहरूको परीक्षा लिने क्रममा कुशको धारिलो घाँसलाई खाली हातले काट्न लगाइन्थ्यो । यसो गर्दा कुशको धारले हात नकाटीकन जसले कुश भेला पार्न सक्थ्यो, उसलाई अब्बल मानिन्थ्यो । कुश वैदिक सनातन संस्कारको देव कर्म र पितृ कर्म दुवैमा अनिवार्य वनस्पति हो ।

Every year since 2066 BS, it is customary to celebrate the National Dharmasabha Day on the 9th of Bhadra every year. Taking you back to Nepal about 100 years ago, when Chandrashamser was the Prime Minister of Nepal. The first Dharmasabha was held in BS 1961 when Chandrashamser invited all the scholars and pundits to hold a week-long Dharmasabha. After that Dharmasabha, the official and formal Bikram Samvat of Nepal took place.

मन्त्र गरिएको धागोको एउटा पवित्र अंशलाई शरीरमा लगाउनुलाई जनै लगाउनु भनिन्छ । जनैका विभिन्न नाम छन्, उपवीत, यज्ञ सूत्र, ब्रह्म सूत्र आदि नामले पनि जनैलाई नै जनाउँछ ।उपनयन संस्कार भएकाहरूले जनै लगाउने गर्दछन् । सनातन दर्शनमा मानिसको जीवनलाई १६ वटा संस्कारले बाँधेको हुन्छ र उपनयन संस्कार त्यस मध्य एक हो । उपनयनको शाब्दिक अर्थ चाहिँ नजिक जाने प्रक्रिया या चाहना हो र जीवनमा भगवानतत्वसंग नजिक जाने यस संस्कारको महत्त्व असाध्यै धेरै छ ।

This Ekadashi has three names, Pavitropana and Pavitra Ekadashi and also known commonly as Putrada, this has its significance among the chain of 52 Ekadashis across the year.

पौष शुक्ल पक्का अलावा श्रावण शुक्ल पक्षको एकादशीलाई पनि पुत्रदा एकादशी भनिन्छ । पद्म पुराण अनुसार सांसारिक सुख समृद्धि तथा पुत्र प्राप्तिका लागि पुत्रदा एकादशीको व्रत बस्ने गरिन्छ । सन्तानविहीन रहेका सबैले पुत्रदा एकादशीको व्रत लिनु फलदायी हुने धार्मिक विश्वास रहेको छ ।

The festival is observed on the 70th day of Eid-ul-Fitr or Ramadan and today under many names, 'Eid U Zoha' or 'Il Ud Adha'. According to the Islamic calendar 'Hijri Samvat', this festival is celebrated on the 10th day of the new month 'Jul Hijja'.

'इद ऊ जोहा' अथवा 'ईल उद अधा', धेरै नामले विश्वभरिका मुसलमान समुदायले यस वर्षको बकर इद पर्व मनाउँदै छन् । इस्लाम पात्रो 'हिजारी सम्वत' अनुसार नयाँ वर्षको 'जुल हिज्जा' महिनाको १०औँ दिन यो पर्व मनाइन्छ । नेपाल सरकारले बकर इदको अवसरमा सार्वजनिक बिदा समेत दिने गरेको छ।

Do you know, if the Sunday falls on the Saptami tithi, this day is considered as Ravi Saptami, today is Sunday and the tithi is the seventh day or Saptami. On the day of such a coincidence, worship of Lord Surya Narayan, fasting, etc. is performed. Worshiping the Sun God, the revered deity of the Navagrahas and the gods, by enlightening the whole world with the radiance of His nature. Worshiping the inspiring Sun God on this day to attain the position, prestige, prosperity, child happiness, and the desired outcome. The Sun God is considered to be the Sattvic form of Brahma in the dawn, the Sun God who gives Tamo guna at noon is considered to be the form of Devadi Dev Mahadev during the afternoon, and the Sun which exists in the majestic form in the evening art is considered to be the Vishnu form. Sun, in itself, is a mixture of several forms and features of god and godly power, a reference point of this creation and the lord of all planets.

Kalki is the tenth manifestation of Sri Har or Lord Vishnu. The tenth and last incarnation of Lord Vishnu "Kalki Avatar" is a religious belief that this Avatar will be born on this day. Or in other words, Kalki's incarnation will come to this planet on this day, so the welcome rituals are performed in the form of Kalki Jayanti. At the end of the present Kali Yug , when virtue and dharma have disappeared and the world is ruled by the unjust, Kalkin will appear to destroy the wicked and to usher in a new age. He will be seated on a white horse with a naked sword in his hand, blazing like a comet.

सनातन दर्शनमा मनाइने पौराणिक दिवसहरुमा कल्की जयन्ती पनि एउटा दिवस हो । करिब ३००० वर्ष अगावै बाट यस दिवस मनाइन थालेको प्रमाण छ । श्रावण शुक्ल षष्ठिका दिन सेतो रंगको घोडामा बिराजमान भएर सबै देवदेवताका साथ कल्की भगवान धर्तिमा अवतरण गर्ने जनविश्वास छ । यसै आगमनको आशामा हरेक वर्ष श्रावण शुक्ल पञ्चमीमा कल्की जयन्ती मनाइने गरिन्छ । भगवान विष्णुको यो अवतार ६४ ओटा कलाले युक्त हुन्छ। पुराण अनुसार भगवान विष्णुको यो अवतारले एकजना तपस्वी ब्राह्मणको घरमा पुत्रको रुपमा जन्म लिनेछन् भने देवदत्त नामक घोडामा सवार भएर संसारमा पापिहरुको विनास गर्नेछन् ।

Nag Panchami, I call it a fulcrum of monsoon, right in the midpoint and this midpoint is culturally stated as Naagpanchami. The convoy of festivals has started and now in the hot sun, there is a hint of Dashain. Sanatana festivals are not only associated with religion but also with culture, our culture is further enriched by festivals like Nag Panchami, the day to worship reptiles, and dedicated to the serpent god, Naag.

श्रावण शुक्ल पक्षको पञ्चमीमा पर्ने यो दिन नागदेवता का लागि समर्पित गरिएको यस दिन गरिएका पूजा अर्चना वास्तवमै नाग देवता समक्ष पुग्ने जनविश्वास रहेको छ, वैदिक दर्शनमा १२ वटा नागहरूको उपस्थिति पाइन्छ ।

This Chaturdashi is also considered a metal day. The significance of this Chartudashi is very different and practical among the Chartudashis of the year. It is believed that the procession started in the valley from this day. Everyone is welcome in the series of processions of 2080 BS.

Welcome to the Ekadashi which falls on the Krishna Paksha of Shrawan, this holy Ekadashi is divinely named Kamika Ekadashi. One who fasts this day and honors Lord Vishnu gets rid of sins and attains lord Vishnu after death. Salvation is the eventual pursuit of Sanatana philosophy, the attaintment of Lord Hari or Vishnu is salvation and every Ekadashis are the divine doors to do so.

Milk rice (Kheer) is a sweet and nutritious food and this is the dish that is prepared after the combined cooking of Sankhar or Gund with our favorite milk rice, Kheer. International Tiger day is manifested so that people around the world can raise awareness for tiger conservation. Protecting tigers and their natural habitats is the primary objective for this day of global solidarity in protecting tigers. The announcement was made by the International Tiger Forum in 2010 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The forum was the world's first tiger conference. The tiger conservation program is a joint effort of then-Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and World Bank President Robert Zoellick.

गुरु पूर्णिमाको पर्वले विद्यार्थी र शिक्षकबिचको पवित्र सम्बन्धलाई सम्मान गर्दछ। संस्कृत शब्द गुरु, जुन अहिले आएर अङ्ग्रेजी शब्दकोशको पनि भाग पनि बनेको छ, यसको अर्थ हाम्रो जीवनबाट अशिक्षा र अज्ञानताको अन्धकार हटाउने व्यक्ति हो भनी व्याख्या गरिएको छ ।

The last day of Shukla Paksha is the full moon day. On this tithi, the moon is the brightest and magnificent. It is believed that fasting on this day brings immense lunar grace to health, prosperity, and peace. On the full moon day, Lord Shiva and Vishnu are especially worshiped. Special worship to Lord Vishnu is done in the form of Satya Narayan Puja. Satya Narayan Puja is usually performed whenever possible, although the fruits of this puja performed on the day of the full moon are very abundant.

शुक्ल पक्षको अन्तिम दिन पूर्णिमा हो । यस तिथीमा चन्द्रमा सर्वाधिक चम्किलो र तेजिलो रुपमा रहेको हुन्छ । यस दिन व्रत बस्नाले चन्द्रमाको असिम कृपा प्राप्त हुने र स्वास्थ, समृद्धि र शान्ति प्राप्त हुने विश्वास छ । पूर्णिमाको दिन विशेषगरि भगवान शिव र विष्णुको आराधना गरिन्छ । भगवान विष्णुलाई गरिने विशेष अर्चनालाई सत्य नारायण पुजाको स्वरुपमा गरिन्छ । सामान्यतया सत्य नारायण पुजा जहिले गरे पनि हुने कार्य हो यद्धपि पूर्णिमाको दिनमा गरिने यस पुजाको फल निकै धेरै पाइन्छ ।

Triodashi is called Pradosh. Like Ekadashi, Pradosh is important every month, Vishnu is remembered in Ekadashi and Shiva is remembered in Pradosh. Pradosh begins 45 minutes before sunset and ends 45 minutes after sunset.

त्रयोदशीलाई प्रदोष भनिन्छ । एकादशीमा विष्णुलाई स्मरण गरिन्छ भने प्रदोषमा शिवको स्मरण गरिन्छ । प्रदोष काल सूर्यास्त हुनुभन्दा ४५ मिनेट अगाडि सुरु हुन्छ र सूर्यास्तको ४५ मिनेटपछि समाप्त हुन्छ। प्रदोष कथा चन्द्रमाको क्षय हुने रोग अर्थात् चन्द्रमाको प्रभाव कम हुँदै जाने अवस्थामा भगवान् शिवले त्रयोदशीका दिन चन्द्रमाको रोग निवारण गरिदिनुभएको शास्त्रमा उल्लेख छ । यस कारणले हरेक महिनाको त्रयोदशीमा भगवान् शिवको स्मरण गर्दै प्रदोष व्रत लिइन्छ।

According to the Vedic Sanatan Hindu calendar 'Panchang', the time it takes for a full moon to reappear in the new moon is divided into fifteen equal periods and each moving time part of the moon is called a date, lunar date.

वैदिक सनातन हिन्दू पात्रो ‘पञ्चाङ’ अनुरूप एउटा पूर्ण चन्द्रमा पुनः नयाँ चन्द्रमा भएर आकाशमा उपस्थित हुन लगाउने समयलाई पन्ध्र वटा समान समय भागमा विभाजन गरिएको छ । चन्द्रको प्रत्येक चलायमान समय भागलाई तिथि भनिन्छ । चन्द्रको अवस्थिति अनुसार तय गरिएको तिथिको एघारौँ दिनलाई एकादशी भनिन्छ ।

Even in the Shiva Purana, it is mentioned that Lord Shiva, who walked along the river Ganga on his forehead, became water himself. Shrawaan is the month of water and its feature, Shrawaan is the month of Shambhu and his followers, from Kailash Parwat till the north pole, from the dead sea, will the south pole, may Shrawan prevail the goodies and purity, may Lord Shiva reside in every hearts.

असार सकिएर श्रावण अथवा साउन महिना सुरु भएको छ । यस महिनामा अत्यन्त वर्षा हुने भएकोले यसलाई पावन भनिन्छ । यसै महिनाका विभिन्न तिथिमा हरितालिका तिज, रक्षा बन्धन, नाग पञ्चमी आदि थुप्रै महत्त्वपूर्ण चाडहरू पर्दछन् । यो भगवान् शिवको महिना हो, यसै कारणले यस महिनाको हरेक सोमबार अविवाहित महिलाहरूले व्रत बस्ने र राम्रो वर पाउने भनी शिवको आराधना गर्ने चलन पनि रही आएको छ ।

This day (July 15th, Youth Skill day) has been observed since the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014 decided to celebrate World Youth Skills Day on July 15. This day is celebrated to strengthen the socio-economic condition of the youth.

हुन त देवालयहरुको भूमिका, धर्म र संस्कृतिका हिसाबले अत्यन्तै महत्वपूर्ण छ तर यदि जात्रा छ किन्तु श्रद्धा छैन, भाव छैन र भक्ति छैन भने ‘‘देवल जात्रा” मात्र गरेर पनि के फाइदा हुन्छ र ? मूर्तिको पूजा चाहिं गर्ने मान्छेको पूजा नगर्ने ! देवालय धाउने तर घरलाई चाहिं देवालय बनाउन नसक्ने ! मन्दिरका देउताको पूजा गर्ने तर आफूमा देवत्व जगाउन नसक्ने ! सानो परिधि र परिसरमा ढुङ्गाले बनेका देउतालाई चाहिं फलफूल, नैवेद्य आदि चढाउने तर प्रत्येक मानवमा, पशुपंक्षीमा देवत्वको वास छ भनी नस्वीकार्ने ! एवं सेवा गर्न नसक्ने ! आदि यस्ता धार्मिक आडम्बरीपनलाई देखेर नै गुरु गोरखनाथले खडी भाषामा(प्राकृत भाषामा, जनभाषामा, देहाती भाषामा) ठाडो व्यङ्गय गर्नुभएको हो ।

On the day of Asar 29th, every year Bhanu Jayanti is celebrated. Bhanubhakta Acharya was born in 1871 BS in a place called Chundi Ramgha in present-day Tanahu district to a wealthy family. He lived for 54 years.

Awareness of global population issues, world population day is observed every year on July 11th. Mainly two things are focused on the celebration, raising awareness on exploding world population and informing about reproductive health and rights are prioritized.

सन् १९८९ बाट हरेक वर्ष विश्वभरिका जनसङ्ख्याका मुद्दाहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्ने हेतुले विश्व जनसङ्ख्या दिवस हरेक वर्ष जुलाई महिनाको ११ तारीखका दिन मनाउन थालिएको हो । रोचक कुरा त के छ भने सन् १९८७ को जुलाई ११ तारिखका दिन विश्वको जनसङ्ख्या करिब ५ अरब पुगेको अवसरमा भएको पपुलेशन समिटले यो दिवस मनाउने घोषणा गरेको हो ।

त्रयोदशीलाई प्रदोष भनिन्छ । एकादशीमा विष्णुलाई स्मरण गरिन्छ भने प्रदोषमा शिवको स्मरण गरिन्छ । प्रदोष काल सूर्यास्त हुनुभन्दा ४५ मिनेट अगाडि सुरु हुन्छ र सूर्यास्तको ४५ मिनेटपछि समाप्त हुन्छ। प्रदोष कथा चन्द्रमाको क्षय हुने रोग अर्थात् चन्द्रमाको प्रभाव कम हुँदै जाने अवस्थामा भगवान् शिवले त्रयोदशीका दिन चन्द्रमाको रोग निवारण गरिदिनुभएको शास्त्रमा उल्लेख छ । यस कारणले हरेक महिनाको त्रयोदशीमा भगवान् शिवको स्मरण गर्दै प्रदोष व्रत लिइन्छ।

Today, an idol of Lord Narayan is installed by fasting, and is revered. Offering vog means offering food, fruits, Naivedh, etc. It is the broad spectrum of living; Sanatan people consider the idol as a living god and treats it with grain, devotion, and other offerings. People donate to needy people under the grace of that idol, they lighten the incense sticks and also perform Aaratis.

यस दिन व्रत बसेर भगवान् नारायणको प्रतिमा स्थापित गरी श्रद्धापूर्वक त्यस प्रतिमालाई भोग लगाइन्छ । भोग लगाउनु अर्थात् खानेकुरा, फलफूल , नैवेद, आदि चढाउनु हो । धूप दिपले आरती उतार्ने र दान दिने गरिन्छ । यस एकादशीमा पिपलको पूजा गर्नाले सम्पूर्ण पाप नष्ट भई मृत्युपश्चात् स्वर्ग लोक प्राप्त हुन्छ भन्ने मान्यता छ ।

National Paddy Day / Dhan Diwas has been formally celebrated in Nepal since 2061 BS. But for centuries, it has been the custom to celebrate the 15th of Asar as a time of eating Dahi chura, planting paddy and celebration remained. This year, it is being celebrated all over Nepal as the 19th Paddy Day. The last day of Shukla Paksha is the full moon day. On this tithi, the moon is the brightest and magnificent. It is believed that fasting on this day brings immense lunar grace to health, prosperity, and peace. On the full moon day, Lord Shiva and Vishnu are especially worshiped. Special worship to Lord Vishnu is done in the form of Satya Narayan Puja. Satya Narayan Puja is usually performed whenever possible, although the fruits of this puja performed on the day of the full moon are very abundant.

The eighth month of the Newa calendar is Tachala which coincides with the second month of Bikram Samvat. The full moon begins on the 15th day, starting with the new moon. This month is also divided into Shuklapaksha and Chandrapaksha which are called Tachala Thwa and Tachala Ga.

शुक्ल पक्षको अन्तिम दिन पूर्णिमा हो । यस तिथीमा चन्द्रमा सर्वाधिक चम्किलो र तेजिलो रुपमा रहेको हुन्छ । यस दिन व्रत बस्नाले चन्द्रमाको असिम कृपा प्राप्त हुने र स्वास्थ, समृद्धि र शान्ति प्राप्त हुने विश्वास छ । पूर्णिमाको दिन विशेषगरि भगवान शिव र विष्णुको आराधना गरिन्छ । भगवान विष्णुलाई गरिने विशेष अर्चनालाई सत्य नारायण पुजाको स्वरुपमा गरिन्छ । सामान्यतया सत्य नारायण पुजा जहिले गरे पनि हुने कार्य हो यद्धपि पूर्णिमाको दिनमा गरिने यस पुजाको फल निकै धेरै पाइन्छ ।

राजा कश्यपका हिरण्याक्ष र हिरण्यकशिपु नाम गरेका दुई छोराहरू थिए । राजा कश्यपको मृत्यु पश्चात् ठूलो छोरा हिरण्याक्ष हिरण्याक्ष राजा बन्यो, तर उनी अत्यन्त क्रूर राजा थिए । उनको पापको र क्रूरताको श्रृंखलाले सीमा नाघेपछि वाराह भगवानले उनको सर्वनाश गरी मारीदिनुभयो । जसको बदला लिन हिरण्याक्षका भाइ हिरण्यकशिपुले आराध्यदेव भगवान महादेवलाई प्रशन्न पारी वरदान लिनकालागि कठोर तपस्य गर्यो । कठोर तपस्याबाट प्रभावित भएर दर्शन दिनुभयो र वरदान के माग्छाै भनेर आज्ञा भयो ।

Who is Swami Shashidhar? Today is the birth anniversary of Swami Shashidhar, who was born in Bamruk village of Arghakhanchi district. Swami Sashidhar's father's name was Dishai Sharma Marasini. Swami Sashidhar, who was considered a saint in the early nineteenth century, was not only a sadhu, he also wrote many books during his lifetime. Almost all the books written by him are in the Sanskrit language.

अर्घाखाँची जिल्लाको बामरुक गाउँमा जन्म भएको स्वामी शशिधरको आज जन्मजयन्ती परेको छ। स्वामी शशिधरको पिताको नाम दिशै शर्मा मरासिनी थियो । उन्नाइसौं शताब्दीका पहिला सन्तशिरोमणि मानिने स्वामी शशिधर एउटा साधु मात्र होइन,उनले आफ्नो जीवन कालमा धेरै ग्रन्थ पनि लेखेका थिए । उनले लेखेका प्राय सबै ग्रन्थ संस्कृत भाषामै छन् । आफ्नो बाल्यकालमा पाएकै शिक्षाले स्वामी शशिध ब्राह्मण विष्णु स्वामी सम्प्रदायमा दीक्षित भए, त्यसपछि पौडी गढवालमा क्यों कालेश्वर मठ स्थापना गर्दा केहि शिक्षा हाशिल गरेर उनि मुनि भए ।
