Communist Party MP Nar Bahadur Bisht Accuses Government of Responsibility for Madhesh Violence

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) MP Nar Bahadur Bisht has accused the government of being responsible for the violent incidents in Sunsari and other Madhesh districts. Speaking at Friday's National Assembly meeting, MP Bisht made such an accusation. He also expressed objection, stating that Home Minister Sudhan Gurung himself is going around making agreements with the victim families. He said that it is not desirable for the Home Minister to do the work that should be done through the Chief District Officer himself. His statement is that the incidents happening in various districts of Madhesh Province are the result of the government's serious weakness. MP Bisht also accused the government's statements being made public through social media of creating further disappointment among the public.

Speaking at the National Assembly meeting, MP Bisht said, 'The Home Minister is still at the protest site, he has made a seven-point agreement with the victim families.' Expressing dissatisfaction, he added, 'It is a matter of misfortune that the Home Minister himself is going around making agreements and signing where the CDO of the CDO office should have signed the understanding.'
