Prime Minister Balen Shah Expresses Condolences for Climbers Lost on Broad Peak

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah has expressed condolences for six Nepali climbers, including world record holder Nirmal Purja, who lost their lives on Broad Peak, an 8,051-meter high mountain in Pakistan's Karakoram mountain range.

In a message of condolence released on Facebook on Saturday, Balen stated that climbing is not just a journey to the summit but the highest expression of courage, discipline, sacrifice, and indomitable confidence challenging human limits. He mentioned that while the mountains give many the glory of the summit, they sometimes embrace them forever within their own lap, adding that mountaineers will always remain immortal in history due to their courage and dedication.
