MP Raju Nath Pandey Involved in Controversy with Army Captain

Kathmandu. A video of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Rajunath Pandey threatening an army captain in Makalbari, Kathmandu, has gone viral on social media. MP Pandey, elected from Kathmandu Constituency No. 3, questioned and rebuked an army officer in a threatening manner during the expansion of a road on Nepal Trust land in Gokarneshwor.

Following Pandey's behavior, Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel met with Prime Minister Balen Shah. According to a high-level source, the Chief of Army Staff drew attention to MP Pandey's behavior. However, the meeting, which lasted about 25 minutes on Tuesday, was described as 'regular' by the Nepali Army.
