New School Buildings Foundation Laid in Kavrepalanchok

Kavrepalanchok. Foundation stones have been laid for the new buildings of two secondary schools in Namobuddha Municipality, Kavrepalanchok. The foundation stones for the new buildings of Shree Janahit Secondary School and Shree Janak Secondary School located in Namobuddha-4 of Namobuddha Municipality were laid. First Secretary of the Indian Embassy Narayan Singh, Namobuddha Municipality Mayor Kunsang Lama, and Project Director of the Central Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Education and Sports Laxmiprasad Bhattarai jointly laid the foundation stones for the buildings of both schools. Officials of the Nepal Government, teachers, students, media persons, and local stakeholders were present at the program. Both school buildings are to be constructed with the financial assistance of the Government of India under the post-earthquake reconstruction grant assistance. The building of Janahit Secondary School is to be constructed at a cost of 5 crore 50 lakh rupees. Two blocks will be constructed in this building, which will have a science laboratory, administrative room, toilets, and seven classrooms. Similarly, the estimated cost for the construction of the building of Janak Secondary School is approximately 6 crore 35 lakh rupees. This building will have two blocks with 18 classrooms, a science laboratory, a library, and an administrative room. Speaking at the program, Project Director of the Central Project Implementation Unit Laxmiprasad Bhattarai expressed gratitude for the technical and financial assistance provided by the Government of India for the reconstruction of educational infrastructure in Nepal. Similarly, Mayor Kunsang Lama praised the development assistance of the Government of India and said that the upgrading of school infrastructure will help improve the teaching and learning environment for students and teachers. First Secretary of the Indian Embassy Narayan Singh said that the foundation laying ceremony reflects the strong and sustainable development partnership between India and Nepal. He mentioned that various development projects are being operated in Nepal under the grant assistance program of the Government of India. Under the post-earthquake reconstruction assistance program, the Government of India has provided assistance for the reconstruction of 85 educational institutions, 133 health institutions, 30 cultural heritage sites, and 50,000 private houses across Nepal.
