Karnali Chief Minister Lacks Initiative in Government Expansion, Claims CPN-UML

Surkhet. The CPN-UML, a partner in the Karnali government, has stated that Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi has not taken the initiative in expanding the government or other matters.

The delay in matters ranging from 'power sharing' to ministerial selection has occurred because the person leading the government has not formally taken the initiative to dialogue. Shahi, who was appointed Chief Minister on July 12, has entrusted the responsibility of power sharing and all other matters to the CPN's Province In-charge Chandra Bahadur Shahi, which is not pleasing to the CPN-UML and its parliamentary party leader Yamlal Kandel.
