Tibetan Cooperative Preserves Ancient Weaving Tradition of 'Pulu' and 'Jeter'

Kathmandu. A cooperative in Shannan, Tibet, has contributed to the preservation of the centuries-old weaving tradition by producing the traditional woolen cloth 'Pulu' and its superior type 'Jeter'.

'Ethnic Huaji Handwoven Cooperative' has dozens of women and men weaving woolen threads on wooden looms. The cooperative provides employment to local residents and transfers traditional weaving skills to the new generation.
