Kathmandu. Opposition parties have protested by standing up in the meeting of the House of Representatives. As soon as Speaker Sombar Dolprasad Aryal started the meeting in the Parliament Building, Singha Durbar, the opposition parties protested by standing up from their respective seats. MPs from Nepali Congress, CPN UML, Nepal Communist Party, Labour Culture Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party stood up and protested.
Since Prime Minister Balendra Shah stated in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Jestha 17 that Nepal has encroached upon India's land, the opposition has been protesting by standing up. However, neither Prime Minister Shah has given any clarification in this regard, nor has Speaker Aryal instructed the secretariat to remove that statement from the record.
