GANDAKI PROVINCE GOVERNMENT FORMS COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE SPORTS MEDAL DISTRIBUTION CONTROVERSY

Pokhara. A committee has been formed after a controversy arose over the sports medals distributed by the Gandaki Province government. A 3-member committee has been formed under the convenership of Dr. Sheshnarayan Poudel, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Youth and Sports. The committee members include Ghanashyam Poudel and Narayan Bastola, who look after the sports sector in the ministry. The committee has a deadline to submit its report to the minister by Shrawan 29th.

Minister of Sports Rekha Gurung said that the committee will submit its report as soon as possible. "A controversy has arisen due to the member secretary. The Chief Minister has also taken serious note of it," she said, "We have formed a committee to investigate because the concerned players have also protested."
