Congress Faction Demands Halt to Party Activities Pending Supreme Court Review

Kathmandu. The coordinator of the national gathering organizing committee, Dr. Shashank Koirala, from the dissenting faction of the Nepali Congress, has sent a letter to the party's central office and the Election Commission demanding an immediate halt to all activities and long-term decisions related to the party's 15th General Convention.

Dr. Koirala has taken this step after the Supreme Court granted permission to review its previous verdict on the party's legality and leadership dispute.
