India Offers Bilateral Talks on Sugauli Treaty Original Copy

Kathmandu. While discussions are ongoing in Nepal about the issue of not finding the original copy of the 1816 Sugauli Treaty, India has stated that this issue can be discussed through existing bilateral mechanisms.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated this on Tuesday during a regular press conference.
