National Human Rights Commission Urges Government to Protect Youth Rights and Ensure Participation

Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission has urged the government to protect the human rights of youth and ensure their meaningful participation. Issuing a press release on the occasion of International Youth Day, the commission drew attention to creating a safe, equal, and dignified environment for youth.

The UN General Assembly approved August 12 as International Youth Day in 1999, and it has been celebrated every year since 2000. On the occasion of this year's International Youth Day, celebrated with the theme 'Different Contexts, Common Aspirations', the commission also extended best wishes to all Nepali youth residing in the country and abroad.
