Afghanistan Secures Series Lead Against Ireland with 3-0 Victory

Belfast. With the help of brilliant centuries from Ibrahim Zadran and Sidikullah Atal, Afghanistan has taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match one-day series against Ireland. Wednesday's third match in Belfast saw Afghanistan defeat Ireland by 42 runs to secure the series.

Afghanistan, which has already directly qualified for the 2027 World Cup, was invited to bat first after losing the toss. Although they lost the in-form batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz cheaply in the second over, Afghanistan batted with composure.
