Prachanda Expresses Grief Over Thawang Landslide

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has expressed grief over the loss of life and property due to landslides in Thawang, Rolpa. Expressing grief through social media Facebook, Prachanda said, 'I am deeply saddened by the great loss of life and property caused by landslides in Kotelbara, Thawang Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa, due to incessant rains for the past few days.'

He offered condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He also drew attention to the disruption of traffic and impact on daily life due to landslides in various places along the Mid-Hill Highway, including Eastern Rukum, leaving passengers stranded.
