Health Science Institutes Establish Varying Procedures for Appointing Officials

Kathmandu. It has been found that different procedures suitable for each institute have been prepared and implemented for the selection of officials such as Rector, Dean, and Registrar in health science institutes across the country.

It has been observed that institutional uniformity and objectivity have not been maintained in the selection of academic and administrative leadership positions like Rector, Registrar, and Dean. In some institutes, the competitive scope has been tightened, while in others, the minimum experience requirement has been significantly relaxed for the approval of procedures.
