Incheon International Airport Becomes World's Busiest, Surpassing Heathrow

Seoul. South Korea's Incheon International Airport has surpassed Britain's London Heathrow Airport to become the world's busiest airport. For the first time, Incheon Airport has become the world's busiest airport based on passenger traffic.

According to preliminary data from Airport Council International (ACI), 38.4 million passengers traveled through Incheon Airport in the first 6 months of 2026. In the same period, 37.79 million passengers traveled through Heathrow Airport. Singapore's Changi Airport is in third place. In the review period, 34.53 million passengers traveled through this airport.
