Department of Mines and Geology Reports 70 Crore Decrease in Revenue

Kathmandu. The Department of Mines and Geology has stated that revenue collected from the excavation, production, and export of mineral substances has decreased by approximately Rs 70 crore in the last fiscal year.

The department collected revenue of Rs 1.59 billion in the fiscal year 2081/82, while in the fiscal year 2082/83, it collected only Rs 89 crore 48 lakh. Compared to the previous fiscal year, the department's revenue collection has decreased by approximately 44 percent in the last fiscal year.
