Proposed Burn Bill Offers Free Treatment Up to NPR 1 Million

Kathmandu. The proposed burn bill has proposed to provide free treatment services up to a maximum of NPR 1 million to burn patients. Under this, health institutions will initially provide treatment services up to NPR 300,000 to patients, and the remaining amount will be covered through the fund or further arrangements, as mentioned in the draft.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has sought public opinions, suggestions, and comments on the draft of the 'Bill to Make Provisions Regarding Human Body Burn (Treatment and Rehabilitation)'.
