Madhesh Province Cabinet Approves Key Decisions on Agriculture, Employee Salaries, and Expenditure Standards

Janakpurdham. The Council of Ministers meeting held in Janakpurdham, Madhesh Province, has made five important decisions. The meeting, held under the leadership of Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' Office, Madhesh Building, discussed and decided on short-term and long-term impacts and contemporary issues related to the overall development of the province, administrative strengthening, service facilities for civil servants, and the agriculture and food security sectors, as stated by Finance Minister Yuvraj Bhattarai.

The meeting unanimously approved the study report 'Climatic Adaptation Investment Planning for Climate Resilient Value Chains for Food System Transformation in Madhesh Province, Nepal' related to the transformation of the agriculture and food system. It was decided to bring the report's conclusions and strategies into implementation and officially publish them for public access. This decision is expected to help attract international, national, and private sector investment to make the province's agricultural cycle and food chain climate-resilient.
