Former Nepali Congress Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka Alleges Election Commission Illegally Validated Special General Convention

Kathmandu. Former acting president of Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has accused the Election Commission of illegally validating the current working committee formed through a special general convention. Addressing a national gathering organized by the 'other group' in Kathmandu on Friday, Khadka attacked the role of the Election Commission's commissioners and the style of work of General Secretary Gagan Thapa.

Leader Khadka claimed that the Election Commission ignored facts and the constitution. 'Two commissioners of the Election Commission, blindfolded, approved the working committee formed through a special general convention that was held against the constitution,' Khadka said.
