Major Highways Affected by Rain, Floods, and Landslides Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Continuous rain, floods, and landslides have affected various major highways across the country. According to the latest data released by the Nepal Police, some roads are completely blocked while vehicles are operating only one-way in some places.

The Mechi Highway (Ilam Municipality 09, Rajaduali section) in Ilam, Koshi Province, is completely blocked due to continuous rain. Passengers are facing problems due to the lack of alternative routes. Similarly, although the road in Bhojpur's Madya Pahadi Lokmarg is blocked due to floods, it has now been opened for one-way traffic.
