WhatsApp Tests On-Device ‘Scam Alert’ Feature to Detect Fraudulent Messages

Kathmandu. WhatsApp has begun testing a new AI-powered safety feature called ‘Scam Alert’ to help users identify potential online scams and fraud attempts.

According to Meta’s engineering blog , the feature is currently being tested in a limited beta program. WhatsApp said it is working with security researchers to evaluate the system before considering a wider rollout.
