Qatar Denies Holding Iranian Pilots

Doha. Qatar has denied the claim by Iranian military officials that it has been holding three of its pilots in custody for months. Qatar has responded at a time when Iran has demanded the release of three Iranian pilots allegedly captured by Qatar in the early stages of the war with the United States.

In a letter sent to the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric, Brigadier General Mohammad Bagherzadeh of the Iranian Armed Forces claimed that Qatar has been holding Javad Salehi, Abdul Majid Dashtian, and Imran Behroosian in control for 6 months.
