Government Prepares Strict Enforcement of Overload Vehicle Fines

Kathmandu. The government is preparing to strictly enforce the legal framework for the load-carrying capacity of freight vehicles for the long-term conservation of roads and bridges.

Currently, the overload brought by freight vehicles is causing potholes on roads, sinking of road surfaces, and damage to bridges. The government is preparing to enact a law that imposes a fine of five hundred thousand rupees on freight vehicles carrying loads exceeding their capacity.
