Congress Faction Concludes National Gathering, Passes Five Proposals

Kathmandu. The 3-day national gathering organized by the dissenting faction of the Nepali Congress has concluded with the passage of 5 proposals. The gathering passed proposals on issues including the party's upcoming general convention, religious identity, and constitutional amendment.

The gathering has pledged to complete the 15th general convention in accordance with the decision of the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th general convention. The gathering expressed confidence that the 15th general convention will be completed under the leadership of former President Sher Bahadur Deuba and that the party will remain united under his leadership. It has been decided that the regular activities of the party until the general convention will be coordinated by the convenors of the national gatherings and conferences under the direction of the President.
