Communist Party Leader Shakti Basnet States Leftist Movement Weakened Due to Inability to Address Public Dissatisfaction

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Shakti Basnet has stated that the leftist movement is weakening due to its inability to address public dissatisfaction with the status quo. Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Sunday, Basnet said that the leftist movement should be reviewed in a way that addresses objective and subjective contradictions.

'Public dissatisfaction with the status quo is evident. When the leftists could not move forward correctly, public opinion became agitated. Objectively it is fine, but subjectively the leftist movement is weakening,' he said, 'The leftist movement is stuck in this contradictory state. Why did the public opinion centered around us move away? A serious review of that should be done.'
