Dhangadhi. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal, who is on a tour of Sudurpaschim, is being prepared to be taken to Kathmandu for further treatment after falling ill. Minister Lamsal is currently resting at his residence Heritage Hotel in Gothalapani, Baitadi, after showing symptoms of viral fever and cold. After his health check-up, doctors have advised him to rest for some time. According to Dinesh Rawat, technical advisor to the minister's team, Lamsal has viral fever and is currently resting. Rawat informed that preparations are underway to bring him back to Kathmandu based on his health condition. 'He has viral fever, he is resting now. Discussions are ongoing about his return,' Rawat said. Currently, only Minister Lamsal and his PSO are at the hotel. His scheduled programs, including a visit to Bajhang, have been affected due to health problems. MDGP Dr. Pavin Upadhyay of District Hospital Baitadi examined Minister Lamsal on Saturday morning. According to him, the minister has a common viral fever and cold. During his Sudurpaschim tour, Minister Lamsal inspected the Dhangadhi-Dipayal Expressway after reaching BP Nagar in Doti, and also inspected the Mahakali Corridor and the physical infrastructure of the District Hospital in Dadeldhura. He had reached Baitadi by driving himself late Saturday evening from Dadeldhura.
