Insurance reach widens as profits drop

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The 14 life insurance companies operating in Nepal earned more than Rs 5.44 billion in net profit in the last fiscal year. According to their financial statements for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025/26, the overall profit of the life insurance sector fell by 10.53 percent compared with the previous fiscal year.
