Indonesia Earthquake: 12,800 Displaced After 7.7 Magnitude Quake on Flores Island

Kathmandu. Following a powerful earthquake on Saturday on Indonesia's Flores Island, about 12,800 people have been displaced. After houses were damaged, thousands of residents are taking shelter in schools, police stations, and government offices, waiting for necessary relief.

Rescue officials said 53 people died and more than a hundred were injured in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake. Although no one has been reported missing so far, officials say rescue and search operations are ongoing.
