Kathmandu. Opposition parties have protested by standing up in the meeting of the House of Representatives. As soon as Speaker Sombar Dolprasad Aryal started the meeting in the Parliament Building, Singhdarbar, opposition parties protested by standing up from their respective seats. MPs from Nepali Congress, CPN UML, Nepali Communist Party, Labour Culture Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party stood up and protested.
Opposition parties have been protesting by standing up since Prime Minister Balendra Shah stated in the House of Representatives meeting on Jestha 17 that India has encroached upon Nepal's land. However, neither Prime Minister Shah has given any clarification on the matter nor has Speaker Aryal instructed the secretariat to remove that statement from the record.
