Journalist Kishore Shrestha's Habeas Corpus Case Concludes Hearing

Kathmandu. The hearing on journalist Kishore Shrestha's habeas corpus case has concluded. The case was heard in the joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Nahakul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal. Four people from the government side and senior advocates Shambhu Thapa, Tikaram Bhattarai, Ramesh Badal, and advocates Krutinath Sharma Poudel, Arjun Khadka, among 17 others from Shrestha's side argued the case.

Shrestha is accused of violating the Personal Privacy Act, 2075 BS. Journalist Shrestha was arrested by a team from the Valley Crime Investigation Office and the District Police Range, Kathmandu, last Wednesday midnight. His wife, Saraswati Shrestha, had filed a habeas corpus writ in the Supreme Court against the arrest.
