Lhakpa Sherpa scales Everest for record 11th time

The “Mountain Queen” reached the summit at 9:30am on Sunday, extending her record as the woman with the most successful ascents of the world’s highest peak.

Mountaineer Lhakpa Sherpa extended her own world record for the highest number of successful Everest ascents by a woman after scaling the peak for the 11th time on Sunday morning.
