President Poudel Highlights Nepal’s Potential for Sports and Tourism

President Ramchandra Poudel emphasized that Nepal is a fertile ground for sports and tourism, with the potential to host various types of running events. He shared these remarks during a meeting with officials from the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) at Sheetal Niwas on Sunday.

President Poudel noted, “From adventurous ultra-marathons in the lap of Mount Everest to long-distance races in Nepalganj in the western Terai, Nepal has successfully hosted diverse running events. I firmly believe that races tailored to our geographical diversity can open new doors for sports tourism. We hope international organizations like AIMS will encourage such initiatives.”
